Top-Ranked Men's Tennis Defeats Arizona

STANFORD, Calif. -- The No. 1 ranked Stanford men's tennis team shutout Arizona, 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium on the campus of Stanford University. The Cardinal improves to 21-0 overall including a 9-0 mark in the Pac-10. The Wildcats fall to 6-10, 3-8 in conference play.

Stanford sophomore Bob Bryan led the Cardinal at the number one singles position, defeating Jerome Oliveri, 6-0, 6-1. Bryan, No. 9 player in the nation, improves to 16-1 in dual match play. He is 60 when playing the number one position.

Senior Paul Goldstein and junior Ryan Wolters defeated Arizona's number one doubles team of Jerome Oliveri and Michel Stopa, 8-4. Goldstein and Wolters improve to 14-1 in dual match play and 15-1 overall.

Stanford will host Boise State at 1:30 p.m. on April 14 at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
