The fifth-ranked Stanford women's tennis team defeated No. 20 Arkansas, 6-1 on Thursday in the first round of the USTA/ITA Women's National Indoor Team Championship in Madison, Wisconsion. Stanford improves to 7-0 on the season while Arkansaas falls to 6-3. The event will be played through Feb. 22 at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The Cardinal will face the winner of the Tennessee/Wisconsin match on Friday.

The top-ranked Stanford men's team defeated N. 16 Boise State, 7-0 on Thursday at the ITA Men's National Team Indoors in Louisville, KY. The tournament will be played through Feb. 22 at the Louisville Tennis Club. Stanford will face No. 6 Louisiana State on Friday, Feb. 20 at 4 p.m.
