David Nolan with the Pac-12 Swimmer of the Meet Award last week.
March 8, 2012
WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-- Stanford freshman David Nolan was named the Pac-12's Swimmer of the Month for February, the second consecutive month that he has won the award.
Following up on his wins in five of six events in January, Nolan earned the Pac-12 Championships' swimmer of the meet after three individual wins and three relay wins at last week's conference championships.
He talked to the Pac-12 after the meet:
Swimming for the conference champions, Nolan set career-bests in the 100 (45.76) and 200 back (1:40.73) as well as the 200 individual medley (1:42.57). He also led off the winning 800 free, 200 free and 400 medley relay teams. Add to that wins in the 100 fly and 400 medley against USC and the 200 IM against Cal during the regular season, and the freshman has had a pretty good start to 2012.
