STANFORD, Calif. - The nation's top talent will be on display this week during the 2013 Pac-12 Conference Men's Swimming Championships, when Stanford will converge upon Federal Way, Wash., along with the rest of the league March 3-6. Held at the King County Aquatic Center, this season's event will serve as a final opportunity for Stanford to prep for its ultimate goal of topping the podium at the NCAA Championships later this month.

"The team knows how important each race is as they try to either improve upon or achieve an NCAA qualifying swim," Goldman Family Director of Men's Swimming Ted Knapp said. "This meet is critical in that it is the last stepping stone towards our team's ultimate focus. We expect to maintain great team spirit and prospective to help each person reach their goals this meet."

Aaron Wayne and Matt Thompson will help lead a Cardinal squad that went 4-2 in dual meets and upset top-ranked Arizona late in January. Wayne is a member of Stanford's 400 medley relay and 200 free relay teams that look to defend their 2012 Pac-12 titles.

Wayne has the league's third-fastest time in the 100 fly (46.85) and 100 free (42.96) while ranking fourth in the 200 free (1:35.31)

Thompson is the No. 3 seed in the 400 individual medley (3:46.78).

David Nolan, the 2012 Pac-12 Newcomer of the Year, garnered All-America nods in seven disciplines as a freshman after winning three individual conference championships. Nolan went on to record a pair of second-place finishes in the 100 and 200 backstroke at the NCAA Championships.

Danny Thomson will make his Pac-12 debut in the 1,650 free (15:02.18) as the No. 2 seeded swimmer.

Matthew Swanston aims for a 200 back crown while taking a season-best 1:42.06 into the championships.

Stanford is seeded third in the 200 free relay (1:18.94) and second in the 400 free relay (2:54.08).

Live results will be available throughout the meet at GoStanford.com.

The Cardinal has won over three decades worth of Pac-12 team titles.
