STANFORD, Calif.-- The three-day Stanford Diving Invitational is set to take place at the Avery Aquatic Center starting on Friday and Saturday at noon and Sunday at 11 a.m. Divers from the Cardinal, Cal, UCLA, Cal Poly, Fresno State and San Jose State will take part in the event.

Stanford diving has been under Rick Schavone for the previous 34 years. This year's team is headlined by freshman Kristian Ipsen, who is scheduled to compete in the February World Cup. Ipsen qualified with Stanford graduate Cassidy Krug for the championship at December's Winter Nationals.

Ipsen collegiately has won all four dual events he's competed in, sweeping Hawaii and Utah. He also won the 3-Meter Synchro title at Winter Nationals and finished second by .20 points in 3-Meter springboard.

Also this season, sophomore Dhruv Tyagi and senior Taylor Sishc were second and third at the Wildcat Invite in the platform. Sishc (3-Meter) and Tyagi (1-Meter) won consolation finals that same weekend.

On the women's side, Stephanie Phipps enters her second season after being named an All-American in the 3-meter as a freshman. This year she has won dual meets with San Jose State and Utah and both events of the Haines Invite in the 1 and 3-meters. She was also second against Florida and Michigan in the 1-Meter in a tri-meet in Ann Arbor.

For Cal coach Todd Mulzet, Molly Hayes won the 1-meter with Utah earlier this year and was third in the 1-meter of the Trojan Invite this fall. Kahley Rowell won the platform of the Wildcat Invite and was second in the platform at USC. Kelsey Heiken competed in both finals of the 1 and 3-meter at last year's Pac-10 Championships. On the men's side, Tyler Pullen also won the 1-meter with Utah was was sixth in the finals of the 1-meter at USC.

San Jose State for coach Mark Butcher, features juniors Jessica Holden and Amy Kirby. Both upperclassmen hold SJSU records with Holden posting a 303.80 in the 3-meter and Kirby a 294.75 in the 1-meter.

For UCLA this season, Emma Ivory was fifth in the synchro platform at Winter Nationals and seventh in the 3-meter synchro. She was also fourth at the AT&T National sychro platform this summer. Fellow Bruin Paulina Guzman won the 3-meter dual with Arizona.

Fresno State features sophomore Hannah Prigge, who broke an eight year old school-record last Saturday in the 3-meter.  For Cal Poly, Sami McIntyre and Toby Reaper were both champions at their own-hosted shootout. McIntyre won the 3-meter both days, while Reaper won the 1 and 3-meter.
