COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Kristian Ipsen won the 1-meter event to begin the NCAA Zone Diving Championships Thursday held at Air Force's Cadet Natatorium.

Ipsen led after the prelims with a 437.75 and rolled to a 903.25 to win the event. Ipsen, who won the event at the Pac-12 Championships, had plenty of room in front of second-place Harrison Jones (824.10) of Arizona State.

Connor Kuremsky (668.35) was sixth in the prelims and stayed in the same spot through the finals with Taylor Sisch rounding out the top 10 with a 624.15. Noah Garcia was 12th overall after posting a 609.10.

The meet continues with the 3-meter event on Friday.
