Day One Results From The NCAA Zone E Championships

Oklahoma City, Okla. - The first day of competition has wrapped up at the 2004 NCAA Zone E Diving Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla. with the men's three-meter and the women's one-meter events. In the men's three-meter, Stanford freshman Kevin McLean finished 16th overall with a score of 433.20 out of 26 total divers. Arizona State's Joon Puhakka won the event tallying a final score of 596.95. Arizona's Josh Anderson was second (522.35), followed by USC's Ray Vincent (499.75) and teammate Michael Hilde (487.45). Competition will continue tomorrow with the men's one-meter event and the women's three-meter event beginning at Noon CST. The Stanford swimming and diving team completed their dual season ranked second nationally with a perfect 7-0 record in competition. They followed that performance with their 23rd consecutive Pac-10 Swimming Championship.
