International Competition: Swam at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, finishing 24th in the prelims of the 400 IM (4:24.64).... swam for the 2009 and 2010 U.S. National Youth team, swimming at the Mel Zorjac Invite in Vancouver, Canada in 2010 and a the Moe Nostrum Invite in Barcelona in 2009.

2011-12 Season (Sophomore): Just missed the NCAA top-16 with an 18th place finish in the 1650 free (15:00.65), the last of four Cardinal in the top-18. Also 28th in the 500 free... at Pac-12s was fourth in the 500 free (4:18.77) and seventh in the 1650 free (15:09.75).... was second in the 1000 free (9:28.80) in dual with Utah and second versus Arizona State in the 1000 (9:32.23) and 500 frees (4:37.86)... sixth at Arena Invite in the 500 free (4:25.02)... second team academic All-Pac-12.

2010-11 Season (Freshman): Swam a best of 4:27.30 in the 500 free at the Long Beach Arena Invite and 9:25.75 in the 1000 free at Arizona... also finished second in the 100 free at Arizona State and third against UOP.

Prior to Stanford: Member of the Green Terror Aquatic Club from 2006 to 2009 and the North Baltimore Aquatic Club in 2009-10... won the 2010 USA National Championship in the 18-and-under 400 individual medley.

Personal: Son of Barry and Kathie Offutt... has two older siblings, Kelly and Craig... majoring in engineering.
