A Look Back With Brent Stewart...

Brent Stewart

Brent Stewart

Nov. 3, 2006

Brent Stewart is a sophomore goalkeeper from Dallas, Texas. Stewart made leaps and bounds over the spring and summer and will continue to develop into an excellent goalkeeper.

Talk about last week's games against UCLA and San Diego State.

Last week's games were both pretty heartbreaking because we had great opportunities to win each game but didn't capitalize.

Earliest soccer memory?

My earliest soccer memory is playing the PeeWee Sidekicks when I was seven years old. My dad was the coach and our team won the league.

In 10 years from now I hope to be:

Playing professionally somewhere, and maybe doing some coaching as well. If I had my choice, I would love to play in Europe.

Looking back on the regular season, what were some of the highlights?

The one weekend that stands out in my mind was our trip up north to play Washington and Oregon State. We won both games and our game against Washington was one of the most exciting games I've ever been a part of.

Who is the hardest worker on the team? Who is the prankster on the team?

Mark Bartlett is probably the hardest worker on the team. He goes out early a lot to do extra work and pushes the rest of the team to work hard in practice. I wouldn't really say we have a prankster on the team, the whole team likes to joke around and have a good time.
