STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford forward Adam Jahn, who scored the match-winning goal in Stanford's 1-0 away win over No. 25 UC Santa Barbara last Friday, was named the Pac-12 Men's Soccer Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

It is the second conference weekly honor for the Cardinal this season. Zach Batteer took home the Player of the Week award on Oct. 9.

Jahn and the Cardinal silenced over 4,000 fervent UC Santa Barbara fans Friday night when the El Macero, Calif. native's 96th-minute header proved the golden goal against the 25th-ranked Gauchos. For Jahn it was his team-leading ninth goal and his third match-winner of the 2012 campaign.

The senior forward has registered career highs of nine goals and 20 points so far in 2012. The winner in Santa Barbara was also the 20th goal of Jahn's Stanford career.

Stanford (7-7-1, 3-3-1 Pac-12, 10 points), which has defeated two ranked teams on the road this season, resumes Pac-12 play this week, beginning with Thursday's match at No. 7 UCLA (11-2-2, 6-1-0, 18 points). That match is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff and will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks. The Cardinal closes the weekend Saturday night at 7 p.m. at San Diego State (6-7-3, 0-5-2, two points).
