STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford men's soccer team closes its home schedule next weekend, November 4 and 6, with games against San Diego State and UCLA. Both games will provide a unique experience for Stanford students, including on Sunday when Stanford football tickets to the Oregon and Cal games will be raffled off.
Sunday, November 6, will be senior day for the Stanford men's soccer team as it takes on No. 12 UCLA. The Cardinal has defeated the Bruins in each of the last four meetings at Cagan Stadium. The game will begin at 1pm with the senior ceremony directly before the game. Adding to the allure of the game, tickets to both the Oregon and California football games will be auctioned off to Stanford students during both halves. Two tickets to the Oregon game will be raffled off in at the 40th minute mark of the first half and two tickets to the Cal game will be raffled off at the 80th minute of the second half. All Stanford students with a student ID will be given a raffle ticket to be eligible for the football tickets. Football tickets will be raffled off in both the first and second half, but the Cardinal students must be present to win.
The Friday, November 4, game against San Diego State will also provide a fun atmosphere for Stanford students. The 7pm kickoff will preceded by the first 160 Stanford students receiving free pizza. At halftime of the game, Stanford fraternities will battle in a soccer competition with bragging rights at stake.
As always, admission to Stanford men's soccer is free to Stanford students. Bring your student ID to be scanned at the student entrance on the North end of Cagan Stadium to receive the raffle ticket for the football games as well as the pizza on Friday.
Do not miss this opportunity to see top-level college soccer and be eligible for the coveted Oregon and California football tickets for no charge. Again, this opportunity is available only to current Stanford students.
