Season Preview: Men's Soccer

The Cardinal enter a new era under head coach Jeremy Gunn

2012: Did not see action.

2011: Saw action in seven games, including four starts in defense ... helped the Cardinal defense allow just 26 goals on the season ... also threat on set pieces who came forward to take two shots.

2010: Redshirted.

High School/Club: Competed for the Santa Clara Sporting '91 Green for his club from 2007-10 ... helped the Sporting '91 Green to several tournament titles, including the 2010 California Youth Soccer Association State Cup and the 2009 Surf Cup ... also earned tournament titles at the 2010 NorCal State Cup and the U.S. Club Soccer Regional Tournament ... led Bellarmine Prep to Central Coast Section titles in 2008 and '09 ... a member of the two-time WCAL Champions at Bellarmine ... named first team all-Central Coast Section in 2009 and second team in '08 ... WCAL Defensive Player of the Year in 2009 ... earned second team honors in 2008 and 2010 despite missing almost the entire 2010 season with a leg injury ... earned the Bill Chambers Award in 2010 and the Mario Astrocola Award in 2009 at Bellarmine.

Personal: Major is undeclared, but interested in civil engineering ... son of Gary and Jennifer Taylor ... has two siblings ... older brother is named Jonathan ... sister, Lindsay, is a standout forward for the Stanford women's team.
