STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford University men's soccer player Jamie Clark, a junior defender, was named to Soccer America's "Team-of-the-Week" for the second time this season. Clark has played a large role in Stanford developing into the top defensive team in the country. This past week, Clark helped the sixth-ranked Cardinal become the first team this season to shutout Washington, a team which features one of the top offenses in the nation. The Cardinal defeated the Huskies 1-0. Stanford then posted its 10th shutout in 12 games this season in a 0-0 tie with Oregon State. The Cardinal defense has allowed just two goals all season. Clark was also named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player-of-the-Week this past Monday.
