STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford University men's gymnastics team is proud to announce the signing of 2002 USA Jr. National Team Member Jason Shen of Newton, MA to a national letter of intent.

At the 2003 USA National Championships, Shen finished 8th all-around in Junior Elite I. Jason currently trains at Charles River Gymnastics under coach Levon Karakanyan.

"Jason is a consistent competitor and methodical worker, two contributing factors to his success," said Stanford Head Coach Thom Glielmi. "In addition, Jason will provide the program with depth - he has the drive and focus needed to develop into a world class gymnast. We expect great things from Jason."

Shen joins USA Junior National Team member David Sender, of Arlington Heights, IL., giving the Cardinal two quality future gymnasts.
