STANFORD, Calif. - Head coach Thom Glielmi has announced the signing of Ben Rudolph of Naperville, Illinois. Rudolph, a senior at Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, Ill., will join the Cardinal men's gymnastics program for the 2010 season as part of the Class of 2013.

Praised as an exciting, fluid, and clean gymnast by Glielmi, Rudolph, a current member of Bartlett Gymnastics, trains under Coach Chris McKee and was the 2007 Region 5 All-Around Champion.

"Ben is an exceptional young man and we are extremely pleased with his decision to come to Stanford," said Glielmi. "Ben brings all events but we expect him to make an immediate impact on rings and horizontal bar. He is a solid, even competitor that has been trained well and we are confident he will continue to get stronger in every aspect of the sport."

"I am excited to join such a talented team," said Rudolph. "The combination of great facilities, coaches, and teammates will help me reach new heights in the sport. I feel this is the best place for me to learn and train. I look forward to working hard to contribute to the team."
