STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford sophomore Cale Robinson was named MPSF Gymnast of the Week today. Robinson is the second Cardinal to receive the honor this season. Eddie Penev was recognized in January.

Robinson led No. 2 Stanford to a pair of road wins last week at No. 5 Ohio State and No. 14 University of Illinois-Chicago. He posted season-highs on floor (15.500) and parallel bars (15.000) at UIC and vault at Ohio State (15.500). Robinson finished second on floor, parallel bars and vault at UIC and won vault (15.500) and parallel bars (14.800) at Ohio State.

Coming off its two highest team scores of the season, the Cardinal moved into the No. 2 position in the national rankings, passing Illinois and Penn State. Oklahoma is the top-ranked team in the country.
