Las Vegas, Nev. - After his sixth-place finish in the all-around at the Winter Cup Challenge, Josh Dixon was named to the U.S. national team. Dixon is one of five new members to the team.
Dixon finished with scores of 83.650 and 85.150 in the all-around for a two-day total of 168.800, which was good enough for sixth place. His best event was the floor exercise where he posted scores of 15.050 and 15.450.
After the selection, Dixon will now be a member of the national team through August 2011, including at the the 2011 VISA Championships this summer.
Before then Dixon will be back with the No. 1 Stanford team as it attempts to win its second NCAA title in three years. Next up for the Cardinal is the Gold Country Classic, on Saturday, Feb. 12, in Oakland.
