STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford men's gymnastics team will be back in action this weekend, and will host its first regular season home event of the year, the Stanford Open, at Burnham Pavilion. The sixth-ranked Cardinal will compete against fourth-ranked California and eighth-ranked Nebraska on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m.

Last weekend at Berkeley, Cal bested Stanford by 2.8 points in the first meeting between the two teams this season. The Cardinal earned four individual event victories and split team event titles with the Golden Bears, but was never able to catch Cal after the first rotation.

Nebraska has competed twice this season already, taking second in the Rocky Mountain Open and losing to defending national champion Oklahoma at home. The Huskers are averaging 335.000 points over two meets.
