STANFORD, Calif. - The defending national champion and No. 1 ranked Stanford men's gymnastics team will begin the 2010 season with an exhibition match, the Cardinal vs. White intrasquad, this Friday, January 8, at 7 p.m. at Burnham Pavilion.

A year after capturing the fourth NCAA title in school history, the men's gymnastics program led by head coach Thom Glielmi will look to repeat in 2010. The Cardinal return several All-Americans and are the ranked No. 1 in the preseason poll.

The team will be split into two groups and will participate in a friendly competition in preparation for the beginning of the regular season.

Stanford will display their dynamic gymnastics and use the opportunity to display new skills and routines, along with debuting new events for some of the returning gymnasts.

Admission to Friday's intrasquad is free. The Cardinal will begin regular competition on January 16th at California.
