EL PASO, Texas - Stanford sophomore Patrick Rodgers, competing against 22 of the best collegiate golfers in the country, tied for 12th at the Western Refining Sun Bowl All-American Golf Classic today. Rodgers finished eight shots behind UNLV's Kevin Penner.

Rodgers carded rounds of 70-69-68 (207) at the 54-hole event. He totaled 17 birdies throughout the tournament, including seven in his second round.

Rodgers has won two tournaments this fall, giving him four for his Stanford career.

He will compete next with the Cardinal at the Amer Ami Invitational in Kona, Hawaii, February 6-8.
