STANFORD, Calif. - The Knowles Family Director of Men's Golf Conrad Ray announced Dominick Francks and David Boote have signed national letters of intent to attend Stanford University next fall.
Francks currently attends Olympia (Wash.) High School. He was the 2010 Washington State Golf Association Junior Boy's Player of the Year when he won the Junior State Championship and the Junior Pacific Northwest Amateur. In 2011, he was named Player of the Year by the Washington Junior Golf Association, added an MVP honor at the Junior America's Cup and claimed the WIAA 4A State High School Golf Championship.
In 2011, Francks finished fifth at the Junior America's Cup, second at the Hudson Junior Invitational and tied for third at the Callaway Junior World Championship.
Boote attends Epsom College in Surrey, England. The 2011 National Junior Champion. Boote is a key member of the Welsh National Men's Amateur Squad. He captained the Great Britain and Ireland Junior squad that defeated the European team at the Jaques Leglise Trophy match.
In 2011, Boote won the United Kingdom Nick Faldo Series Championship. An accomplished European amateur, he has competed twice on American soil finishing 35th at the Junior Jones Cup and ninth at the Junior Players.
"The 2012 recruiting class that we have been able to put together is very exciting for the future of Stanford Golf," said Ray. "Both players bring so much to the table in terms of their academic and athletic prowess as well as the intangibles. We believe that this class will go down as one of the best we have had at Stanford in a long time."
