ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Stanford's men's golf team moved into a tie for ninth after two rounds at the U.S. Collegiate after a second-round 289. The Cardinal bettered it's first-round score by 17 strokes at The Golf Club of Georgia's Lakeside Course Saturday.

Stanford's Patrick Rodgers led the Cardinal, carding a second round 72 after shooting 70 Friday (142, -2). The sophomore is in fourth place, three strokes behind Oklahoma State's Taylor Gooch.

David Boote is tied for 21st after shooting 75-72 (147, +3).

Cameron Wilson, in his first competition of the season, is tied for 29th after shooting 79-69 (148, +6). His second-day score matched Saturday's low.

Dominick Francks is tied for 71st. The freshman shot 82-76 (+14) in his second collegiate competition.

Senior Steve Kearney carded rounds of 83-80 (+19), good for a share of 76th.
