Steve Ziegler, a four-year letterwinner who graduated with a 3.27 grade point average as a science, technology and society major, was named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
It marks the second straight year Ziegler has earned All-America Scholar status from the GCAA.
A total of 138 players in Division I, 49 in Division II and three in NAIA earned the honor. To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I.
Ziegler played in 10 events last season and carded a stroke average of 76.4. His best finish was a tie for 11th at the Pac-10 Championships.
