Stanford's men's golf team is in sixth place after carding an opening round 285 at the USC Invitational being held at the North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.
The Cardinal trailed first place UCLA by five strokes after one round after the Bruins carded an opening round 280 on the par-71, 6,869-yard North Ranch layout.
Teams were halfway through their second rounds when play was suspended for the day.
Stanford freshman Cameron Wilson opened the tournament with a three-under 68 on a round that featured four birdies and just one bogey. He was even par through 10 holes on his second round.
Andrew Yun shot a one-under 70 on Monday, carding three birdies and one double bogey over his first 18 holes. The sophomore was one-over for his second round through nine holes.
David Chung shot a two-over 74 in the morning and was tied for 48th after one round.
Senior Steve Ziegler was tied for 39th after carding a first round 73 (+2).
Sihwan Kim struggled to a first round 80 (+11) but was one-under for his afternoon round through 14 holes.
The field will wrap up second round play tomorrow morning before starting the third and final round.
