Stanford's men's golf team was tied for 10th place after the first round of the San Diego Intercollegiate being held at the San Diego Country Club after the Cardinal turned in an opening round 307 (+19).
Second round play was suspended due to darkness. Teams will return to the course early Tuesday morning to complete the second round in addition to playing their final 18 holes.
Stanford was tied with Texas-Arlington at 19-over par after the first 18 holes. Both teams trailed first round leader Washington by 23 strokes after the Huskies carded a four-under 284.
USC is in second place at 288 followed by San Diego State (294), Tennessee (295) and UCLA (296).
Freshman Patrick Rodgers was tied for 17th place after the first round, shooting a two-over 74 on the San Diego Country Club layout. Rodgers was even par after his first 11 holes but suffered a double bogey 5 on the par-3 third, his 12th hole of the day.
Rodgers got one stroke back with a birdie on the par-5 eighth hole, but finished with a double bogey on his final hole of the day.
Andrew Yun carded an opening round 76 and was tied for 38th place after the first 18 holes. The junior got off to a bogey-bogey start and made the turn at four-over par.
Cameron Wilson was tied for 47th after an opening round 77, which included three birdies, an eagle, three bogeys and two double bogeys.
Senior David Chung shot an opening round 80 and was tied for 71st, while freshman Patrick Grimes carded an 85 and was tied for 81st.
