Stanford Second, Kribel Third at the Nelson
STANFORD, Calif.--The Stanford men's golf team is tied for second place with Georgia Tech at six-over par 290 at The Nelson played at the Stanford Golf Course (Par 71, 6786 Yards) on the campus of Stanford University. Louisiana State leads all teams at two-under par 286.
Stanford junior All-American Joel Kribel is tied for third place at two-under par 69. Sophomore Tylar Lunke is tied for 10th at 72 while sophomore Dusty Brett is tied for 19th at 73. Freshman Jimmy Lee is in 38th with 76 while Alex Aragon carded an 80, putting him in 74th place.
Randy Leen of Indiana and Freeman Fite of Alabama are tied for the individual lead at 68. Kribel is tied for third with Chick Linski of Indiana, Adam Manuel of LSU and Wes Latimer of Georgia Tech at 69.
The Nelson continues through Sunday, November 9. Tee times will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday while the third round will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday.
