Stanford Men's Golf Well Represented in Tournament

Kribel leads after two rounds of PING/Arizona Intercollegiate

TUCSON, Ariz.--Stanford junior Joel Kribel is in first place individually at seven-under par 135 after two rounds of play at the PING/Arizona Intercollegiate played at The Raven Golf Course (par 71, 6882 yards) in Tucson, Ariz. Kribel shot a 68 in the first round and tied season-best with a 67 in the second round. Kribel's 36-hole total 135 puts him one stroke ahead of Bill Lunde of UNLV (136). Arizona's Rory Sabbatini is in third place at 137.

Stanford is tied for eighth place at 588. The Cardinal carded a 287 in the first round followed by a 301 in the second round. UNLV leads all teams at 563 followed by Arizona at 570. Arizona State is third place at 577.

The final round of the PING/Arizona Invitational will be played on Feb. 3.
