"Inside Stanford Sports with David Shaw" returns on Monday, Dec. 3, on the Cardinal's flagship radio station KNBR 1050. This Rose Bowl edition of the one-hour show kicks off at 8:00 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live from Gordon Biersch Palo Alto (640 Emerson Street).
The radio show features Bradford M. Freeman Director of Football / head coach David Shaw and several standout Stanford players each month, hosted by current Cardinal radio analyst and former Rose Bowl quarterback Todd Husak. Tonight's episode is the final of the 2012 season.
This fifth edition of Inside Stanford Sports this Monday will bring junior defensive end Henry Anderson, senior tight end Zach Ertz and fifth-year senior punter Daniel Zychlinski to the microphone to talk fresh off the Cardinal's Pac-12 Championship and selection to play in the 99th Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO.
Anderson has been one of the nation's most dominant defensive lineman the second half of this season, with 11.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks since game seven. Ertz has broken the school tight end records and leads all FBS tight ends with 66 receptions for 837 yards. Zychlinski has led Stanford's special teams this year on and off the field, including career performances in November that keyed Cardinal field position and wins.
This episode of the Cardinal's monthly radio show will afford fans the opportunity to celebrate and honor the Rose Bowl-bound 2012 Pac-12 Champions and an unforgettable 11-2 regular season. Coach Shaw and players will also give their first insights into the Jan. 1 matchup against Wisconsin.
