STANFORD, Calif. -
With the Cardinal's 35-17 victory today over UCLA in Pasadena, Calif., Stanford has clinched the Pac-12 North Division and its berth in the second annual Pac-12 Football Championship Game. By virtue of its superior conference record, Stanford (8-1 Pac-12) will play host to Pac-12 South winner UCLA (6-3 Pac-12) at Stanford Stadium on Friday, Nov. 30. Kickoff is at 5 p.m. PT.
This marks the first Pac-12 Football Championship Game appearance for Stanford. The winner on Friday will be crowned the 2012 Pac-12 Champion and receive an invitation to the 2013 Rose Bowl Game on Jan. 1. Stanford last won its conference in 1999, playing in the 2000 Rose Bowl.
