STANFORD, Calif. - Senior tight end Zach Ertz and fifth-year senior punter Daniel Zychlinski have been named Pac-12 Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively, following Stanford's 17-14 overtime victory at Oregon on Saturday. The honor is a first for each.

Ertz delivered a career performance on the biggest stage to upset No. 1-ranked Oregon in Eugene. He hauled in a career-high 11 receptions for 106 yards, including an acrobatic game-tying touchdown in the back of the end zone with 95 seconds left in regulation. With the entire Oregon defense - and an entire nation - looking for him to be the go-to player on Stanford's final fourth-quarter drive, Ertz caught four clutch balls for 53 yards and a dramatic touchdown on Stanford's 78-yard scoring drive. The 6-foot-6 tight end also played a key blocking role in Stanford's 200-yard rushing day.

Zychlinski single-handedly dictated the field position battle in Stanford's win over the top-ranked Ducks, averaging 45.7 yards per punt and limiting one of the nation's top punt returners (De'Anthony Thomas - 18.33 avg) two total return yards on six punts. Zychlinski placed his punts directionally and by distance with near-perfect precision, including five punts inside the 20-yard line and three inside the 10. He additionally hit the long punts when needed, including 62 yards and 58 yards. Zychlinski was also the holder on a wet field for the overtime field goal to win the game.

Previously this season, Pac-12 Player of the Week honors have been earned by Stepfan Taylor (Sept. 17), Ben Gardner (Sept. 17), Josh Nunes (Oct. 8) and Chase Thomas (Oct. 22) for Stanford.

No. 11/11 Stanford closes its regular season at No. 15/16 UCLA on Saturday with the opportunity to clinch the Pac-12 North and a berth in the 2012 Pac-12 Football Championship Game. The game is being nationally broadcast on FOX with a 3:30 p.m. PT / 6:30 p.m. PT kickoff.
