Stanford Moves Up to 14th in AP Poll; Debuts at No. 17 in Coaches' Poll

STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford moved up to 14th in the Associated Press' Top 25 poll following its 55-21 victory over 11th-ranked USC in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The Cardinal also made its season debut in the USA Today Coaches' poll, checking in at No. 17.

The ranking is Stanford's highest since it was ranked 11th heading into the 2001 Seattle Bowl against Georgia Tech.

Stanford, 7-3 overall and 6-2 in the Pac-10 Conference, will meet the California Golden Bears in the 112th Big Game next Saturday at Stanford Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. and the game will be televised by Versus.
