STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford is ranked 25th in this week's Associated Press Top 25 poll which was released this morning, marking the program's first national ranking since the end of the 2001 season, when the Cardinal finished the year ranked 16th in the AP poll.

The Cardinal, 6-3 overall and 5-2 in the Pac-10 Conference, opened the eyes of the voters after defeated 7th-ranked Oregon, 51-42 yesterday at Stanford Stadium.

Stanford will travel to Los Angeles next weekend to face the 11th-ranked USC Trojans in the Coliseum. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. and the game will be televised by Fox Sports Net.
