STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford Football and The Cardinal Channel, the creative video production team of Stanford Athletics, today released the ninth episode of "How We Do It," the 15-week original video series that takes viewers inside all angles of the Cardinal Football program.

Episode 9, "Big Game Week," is built in five chapters:

Chapter 1 talks with a trio of seniors - Stepfan Taylor, Sam Schwartzstein, and Terrence Brown - about the importance and emotions for Big Game and The Axe.

Profiling the event that annually kicks off Big Game Week on campus, Chapter 2 explores the Stanford Band's performance at White Plaza and "funeral" for Oski the Bear.

Chapter 3 goes behind the scenes of the Big Game Blood Drive that competes with Cal for a much broader prize and set of winners.

Chapter 4 heads backstage with Gaieties, the annual student-written musical comedy aimed at uniting and entertaining the Stanford campus the days leading up to Big Game.

Covering one of the best editions of the Big Game Pep Rally on campus in 20 years, Chapter 5 showcases the Stanford players on the stage and the Axe Committee organizers who supplied literal and figurative fireworks to a throng of spirited Stanford students.
