STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford Football Weekly and host Kevin Danna talked Tuesday with Bradford M. Freeman Director of Football David Shaw about Stanford's comeback victory versus Arizona - a challenge the the Cardinal needed - and what he learned about his quarterback's toughness and feet. Coach Shaw also previewed the upcoming contest at seventh-ranked Notre Dame.

Four players also joined Stanford Football Weekly. Senior offensive guard Khalil Wilkes (five starts in 2012) described the big block he made to pave the winning touchdown last Saturday for Stepfan Taylor. Senior quarterback and Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week Josh Nunes (360 yards passing, five total touchdowns vs. Arizona) discussed his clutch fourth-and-nine completion in the final minute of the fourth quarter. Junior defensive end Henry Anderson (seven tackles, PBU vs. Arizona) gave insight into the confidence for the defense to close the game. Senior defensive end Ben Gardner (sack, two PBU) explained the defensive line's tactics for knocking down passes when it counted the most against Arizona and gave some early thoughts on the Notre Dame offense.

No. 17 Stanford (4-1 overall, 2-1 Pac-12) travels across the country later this week for a national showdown and renewal of the annual rivalry with Notre Dame. The 12:30 p.m. (PT) matchup will be broadcast nationally on NBC.
