T.J. Rushing's 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown was the third longest in Stanford history. The two longest in school history were both 100-yard returns: Damon Dunn vs. Arizona State in 1994 and Bob Bryan vs. San Francisco in 1950.

The last Cardinal to return a kickoff for a touchdown was Damon Dunn vs. USC on 11/9/96 (93 yards).

Trent Edwards established a career high by passing for 297 yards. His previous best was 278 vs. San Jose State last season.

Stanford recorded more than 30 points in back-to-back games for the first time since November 10 and November 17, 2001 vs. Arizona (W, 51-37) and Cal (W, 35-28)

Stanford won its first two games this season by 67 points (43-3 vs. San Jose State last week). The last time a Cardinal team won back-to-back games by as many points was November 7 and November 14, 1981 when it beat Oregon State (63-9) and Oregon (42-3) by a combined 93 points.

Stanford began the year with wins over San Jose State and BYU for the second consecutive season.

The last time a Cardinal defense held consecutive opponents to a less than a combined 13 points in its first two games was in 1972 when the Cardinal gave up a combined six points in its first two games (W, vs. San Jose State, 44-0, W, vs. Duke, 10-6).
