Robins Finishes Action At World Rowing Senior And Junior Championships

World Rowing Senior and Junior Championships results

STANFORD, Calif. - Cardinal oarsman Will Robins and the U.S. Lightweight Eight finished action at the World Rowing Senior and Junior Championships over the weekend, finishing ninth overall.

In the B Final, the U.S. finished third in a time of 5:50.15, behind the Netherlands and Hungary. The U.S. opened the race in third position after the opening 500 meters before climbing into second place by the halfway point then entering the final 500 meters less than a second ahead of third-place Hungary.

The Americans and Hungarians would battle stroke for stroke over the final 500 meters but by the end, Hungary clipped the U.S. by just 0.24 of a second. The Netherlands took the B Final with a time of 5:47.01.
