Four Stanford Rowers Named to USA Under 23 team

Princeton, NJ--Stanford University Cardinal Rowing has shown bright in red, white and blue with four Stanford Student-Athletes being named to the US Rowing Under 23 National team.

Senior Men's Captain Jake Cornelius along with Juniors Nate Rooks, Kevin Baum and Sophomore Women's Crew team member Kerry Birk have been honored for their work ethic and rowing ability. This group will race their first International event in Hazewinkel, Belgium on July 20-23.

"This is truly an outstanding accomplishment for our Student-Athletes and teams. To have Stanford University represented so well at the World Under 23's is tremendous for our program. I am very proud of each of these athletes" exclaimed Director of Rowing Craig Amerkhanian.

Notes: Alumnus David Banks and Junior Donny Simkin continue to train as part of the US Sculling Selection group. Adam Kreek is training with the Canadian National team.
