REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. - The Stanford men concluded their grueling preseason schedule Saturday at Redwood Shores, being swept in their duel regatta against No. 1 Washington. The Cardinal men now have two weeks to prepare for the Stanford Invitational vs. Michigan and Wisconsin on April 17 and 18 at Redwood Shores.

Last weekend at the San Diego Crew Classic in San Diego the Cardinal raced No. 2 Cal with similar outcomes.

"Our duel racing with UW is usually quite spirited," said Stanford Director of Rowing and men's head coach Craig Amerkhanian. "We had won two of the last three duels with the Husky Varsity. Today we were introduced to the 2010 Husky Crew. Impressive to say the least. Coach Callahan is doing great work on Lake Washington."
