2013 Davis Invite Schedule Get Acrobat Reader

STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford men's rowing travels to the Port of Sacramento this Sunday for preseason action at the UC Davis Invitational.

The regatta serves as the Cardinal's sole preseason race before traveling to the San Diego Crew Classic April 5 and 6 to face the nation's top crews.

"The Davis Invite allows us the opportunity to travel, compete, respect and represent," said Stanford head coach Craig Amerkhanian. "The team will work together in de-rigging, loading, traveling, racing and returning back to campus safely. This process is essential in developing team chemistry and the selfless dedication that leads to a successful season."

Stanford will field a pair of boats in the four competition, as the Cardinal A and B entries face of with UC Davis and Sonoma State at 8:20 a.m. The frosh eight takes on UC Davis and Santa Clara at 9:20 a.m. followed by the II Eight going head-to-head with Santa Clara at 10 a.m.

The Cardinal I Eight sees its first action at 10:40 a.m. against UC Davis, Sonoma State and Santa Clara, followed by the day's finale of the frosh four taking on the same three schools at 11:30 a.m.
