Scouting Denver
Denver (1-4, 0-0 WAC) defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 68-51 on Nov. 14 for its only win of the year. The Pioneers lost 61-50 at Southern Mississippi on Tuesday ... After ranking eighth in the nation with a 48.8 field goal percentage last year, Denver is shooting just 37.6 percent while averaging 58.0 points and 61.8 rebounds per game ... Denver is shooting 74.3 percent from the foul line and 29.9 percent from beyond the arc ... Three players average double-figure scoring, led by Royce O'Neale (13.4 ppg, 5.8 rpg), Chris Udofia (12.2 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 48.9 percent FG), and Chase Hallam (10.2 ppg) ... The Pioneers finished 22-9 overall in 2011-12, losing back-to-back games only once ... Denver is making the transition from the Sun Belt Conference to the WAC in 2012-13.

Stanford All-Time Against Denver
This will be the 10th meeting between the programs, with Stanford owning a 7-2 record. The Cardinal has won four straight in the series, including an 82-39 rout at Maples Pavilion on Nov. 25, 2006, in the most recent meeting. Denver's two victories both came at home, with its most recent triumph a 77-74 decision back on Dec. 18, 1972.

Huestis' Block Party Continues
Stanford's 68-57 win over Seattle featured several outstanding individual efforts. Andy Brown poured in a career-high 17 points. Dwight Powell grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds. But the milestone everyone was talking about after the game was Josh Huestis' 10 blocked shots. Huestis finished two swats shy of matching the school record of 12, established by Brook Lopez on Jan. 25, 2007 in a 65-50 win over USC. Lopez recorded a triple-double in that game, finishing with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 12 blocks. Stanford's single-season blocks record is 85, established by Curtis Borchardt in 2001-02.
