STANFORD, Calif.- The fourth episode of "Commit To The Court", a creative series featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the Stanford men's basketball program, can be viewed below.
The latest production of The Cardinal Channel, the official video network of Stanford Athletics, "Commit To The Court" showcases the experiences off the court for various members of the Cardinal men's basketball team.
The fourth episode recaps Stanford's 76-52 rout of No. 10/12 Oregon on Wednesday night, the Cardinal's first victory over a top-10 opponent since Feb. 2, 2008, when the Cardinal defeated No. 9/9 Washington State in Pullman. Stanford received key contributions multiple players to pull the upset while an energetic crowd sustained momentum throughout the entire game. When it was all said and done, the Cardinal handed the Ducks their first Pac-12 loss and third overall in 21 contests.
The second episode titled "Juan Pablo", gives viewers an inside look at the teaching methods of Sports Performance Coach Juan Pablo Reggiardo, who leads juniors Josh Huestis and Dwight Powell through a workout. The offseason conditioning has benefited both players so far, with Huestis leading the Cardinal in rebounding (8.9 ppg) and blocks (33) while Powell is the team's top scorer (14.5 ppg) and ranks second in rebounding (7.2 rpg).
The debut episode titled "Practice Philosophy with Coach Dawkins", gives viewers an inside look at a typical practice session. Head coach Johnny Dawkins is shown providing instruction while junior John Gage and sophomore Chasson Randle share their insights regarding player development.
