Former Golden State Warrior Leads Athletes In Action Over Stanford
STANFORD, Calif. - David Wood, who played for the Golden
State Warriors in 1994-95 and 1995-96, scored 16 points and
grabbed six rebounds to lead Athletes In Action to a 73-69
victory over Stanford in an exhibition men's basketball game
Thursday night at Maples Pavilion.
Athletes In Action, which had beaten Indiana and Michigan
earlier this month, was also led by Andrew Adderly with 14
points and Greg Colbert with 12.
Four Cardinal players scored in double figures led by Mark
Madsen with 13 points, and Jason Collins and Peter Sauer with
12 apiece. Madsen and Collins each added five rebounds.
Stanford opens the 1997-98 regular season on Nov. 18 against
the University of San Diego.
