STANFORD, Calif.-- Stanford Baseball will send a number of players out to play summer ball, with a trio of sophomore pitchers headed to the Cape, freshmen outfielders Jake Stewart and Stephen Piscotty headed to Alaska and five additional players headed to the New England Collegiate League.

Last year's rotation to begin the year, Jordan Pries, Scott Snodgress and Brett Mooneyham, will pitch in the Cape for Yarmouth-Dennis. Mooneyham has also been invited to participate in Team USA's trials for its summer national team starting in July.

Over in New England, Pac-10 Freshman of the Year Kenny Diekroeger will play with righthander Mark Appel for Newport in the NECBL, opposing teammates Sahil Bloom, Christian Griffiths and Elliott Byers for New Bedford.

Torrington, in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League will feature infielder Eric Smith and pitchers Brian Busick and Chris Reed. A full list of players and teams is below.
