Lubbock, Texas - David Stringer was honored by the College Baseball Foundation as a member of the organization's National Honor Roll for the week of February 27, 2007. Stringer recorded saves in all four of Stanford's games last week to help lead the Cardinal to a 4-0 record during the period, while not allowing a run in 6.1 innings of work and striking out seven. He threw 3.0 scoreless innings in a 4-1 win over San Francisco on February 20. In a three-game series against Kansas, he protected one-run leads in the both the opener (2.0 IP) and finale (0.2 IP), as well as a three-run margin in the middle game (0.2 IP) of the set that ran February 23-25.

Stringer has recorded saves in five of Stanford's first seven victories in 2007. Overall, he has an 0-0 record and a 2.25 ERA while appearing in a team-high eight of the club's 12 games and 12.0 innings. He has not blown any save opportunities.
