The 2008 Northern California College Baseball Media Day being held at Stanford University on Wednesday, February 20, will be webcast live on gostanford.com. The event will take place at Kissick Auditorium in the Arrillaga Family Sports Center beginning at 10:00 am, PT.
The press conference will feature head coaches and selected players from all nine Division I Northern California baseball programs - California, Pacific, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Stanford and UC Davis. The coaches will discuss the upcoming 2008 season by offering previews of their respective teams. Both coaches and players will be available for one-on-one interviews following the formal portion of the press conference.
All nine Division I Northern California collegiate baseball programs start their respective seasons this Friday, February 22.
Northern California will be a hotbed for much of the action with six of the nine schools - California, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, San Jose State, Santa Clara and Stanford - opening their respective seasons at home. Pacific, San Francisco and UC Davis all begin their 2008 campaigns on the road.
