Mark Romanczuk will have to wait another day to make his third start of the season as Stanford and Kansas were rained out Friday night

Feb. 11, 2005

Stanford, Calif. - The series opener between No. 6 Stanford and unbeaten Kansas scheduled for Friday at Sunken Diamond has been postponed due to rain. The teams are now scheduled to begin the series with a doubleheader on Saturday, February 12 (1:00 pm, PT). The series finale is still scheduled for Sunday, February 13 (11:00 am, PT).

The postponement was the second of the 2005 campaign for the Cardinal. Stanford's 2005 scheduled season opener versus Fresno State on January 28 was postponed due to weather conditions.

Stanford swept Fresno State in a doubleheader that was played on January 30 to increase its string of doubleheader sweeps to five.
