STANFORD, Calif.-- Six Bay Area Baseball programs will gather at Kissick Auditorium on the Stanford campus to talk college baseball on Thursday, February 3 at 11 a.m. The event will be streamed live at gostanford.com.

Coaches from Stanford, California, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Saint Mary's and San Francisco, along with a select player will talk about their teams to the assembled media for about five minutes each. The following is the live streaming schedule: Saint Mary's, Santa Clara, San Francisco, San Jose State, California and Stanford.


 

 

Also posted on gostanford.com will be individual interviews with all area coaches and their players, posted by Friday.

Stanford and California are both ranked in the national top-20 to start the season.

The Cardinal are coming off an NCAA appearance, one of eight bids by the Pac-10 Conference and 31-25 record. Stanford finished 14-13 in the conference. Mark Marquess is in his 35th year at the helm of his alma mater.

One of Marquess pupils, David  Esquer led the Bears to the NCAA Regionals behind a 29-25 record and 13-14 mark in the Pac-10. The former standout on the Cardinal's 1987 national championship team is in his 13th season across the Bay.

San Francisco is coming off a 28-28 season and 10-11 mark and fourth place finish in the WCC. Nino Giarratano is in his 13th season on the Hilltop

Saint Mary's was 19-32-1 last season and 8-13 in the WCC for fifth place. Jedd Soto is in his seventh year at Saint Mary's.

Santa Clara was 23-31 in 2010, going 8-13 in the WCC tying with the Gaels for fifth place. Former Stanford assistant and a San Jose State graduate, Mark  O'Brien  is in his tenth season.

San Jose State went 23-37 last season and 9-15 in the WAC under Sam Piraro. The winningest coach in Spartan history, Piraro is in his 24th season at the helm of the South Bay program.
