High School: Four-year varsity letterman in baseball and was also a two-year all-conference pick as a linemen on both offense and defense on the football team ... finished his prep career as captain of both the football and baseball teams... also won league championships with both teams, baseball in 2007 and football in 2008, making the state playoffs in each... went 15-5 in his varsity career ... named the 2009 Eastside Catholic Male Athlete of the Year in 2010.
