High School: Four-year letterman in baseball and earned two varsity letters in soccer at Arapahoe High in Colorado ... hit .465 as a senior at Arapahoe High in Colorado with a .556 on-base percentage and .860 slugging percentage following six doubles, a triple and three home runs ... also drove in 20 and scored 19 over 54 plate appearances ... twice named all-state in 2008 and 2010 ... was also a part of the all-Colorado team in 2010... named the team MVP as well his senior and sophomore seasons, as well as all-Centennial League in 2008 and 2010 ... team reached state tournament in 2007, 2008 and 2010, winning the league title in 2008 ... also a team captain his senior season.
