Personal Information: Son of Joel and Karen Erickson...has one sister, Kjerstin, and one brother, Sean...is a third-generation Stanford athlete...his grandfather, Mervin "Bud" Stromsmoe ('43), was a catcher for the Stanford baseball team from 1942-43...mother, Karen Stromsmoe Erickson ('77) played guard on the women's basketball team for two seasons (1973-75)...father, Joel ('77), was a wide receiver on the Stanford football team (1973-74) and an infielder on the baseball team (1974-75)...is a member of the ABF Drumz section of the Stanford Band...chose Stanford because, in his words, "Stanford is at the pinnacle of achievement in both academics and athletics"...majoring in human biology.
